Wendel Clark now works for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the PR area. He has done a few charity events in Saskatchewan in 2009 so we were able to attend both events, chat with him for a bit and get some items signed. Both events were great causes; The Pink Ribbon Classic is a breast cancer fundraiser in Spiritwood, Sk and the University of Saskatchewan Men's Hockey Team raised money raised for their hockey program. This blog will show case some of the items we had signed, videos and pictures of Wendel at the events and some memorabilia cards.

Wendel Clark signed Leafs Helmet

Signed at a private sitting at Frozen Pond in Concord, Ont.
Check this out, Wendel at the private signing in Frozen Pond with my helmet beside him. The logos are different, I did not have the right ones before the signing and changed them after!

Wendel Clark Signed Sport Chek Puck

This is neat story. This is a Wendel Clark signed Sport Chek puck. I was booting around Saskatoon about 15 years ago. The radio mentioned that Wendel Clark was sitting out part of the season due to a contract dispute. It turned out he was in town signing autographs at a local Sport Chek. I was 1 block in away from the Sport Chek, pulled into the store and no one was around. Except Wendel Clark. I chatted with him for a bit, got my puck signed and I left the store.

Wendel Clark signed Leafs Jersey and Puck

I wanted both of us to have the hats, again a great cause.

This was bought from the auction, proceeds to the Pink Warrior Classic.Craig Schira signed NHL puck

Wendel Clark Signed Jersey, Puck and something from Chaser too!

Today was the first annual University of Saskatchewan Husky Hockey Dogs Off the Leash Luncheon. Master of Ceremonies was former NHL'er Kelly Chase and the guest speaker was Saskatchewan's own, Wendel Clark.  I got Clark this summer on a bunch of stuff but hey, it's Wendel.  He's our local boy who made good in the hockey world.  He spoke for about 5 mins and then opened it up for questions.  Chase said they both would stick around to sign autographs and I got ready.  I watched where they would be and moved quickly when the program was over.  I was by myself so there were no chances for my usual closeup pics.  I got to Wendel in no time at all and I asked if he could personalize it, he said "Sure" and I spelled my name.  He wrote 'Best Wishes',  I thought that was cool, something more when he knows its for you.  I saw other ask for two autographs so I asked for a puck too, not a problem and off I went.  I got Kelly Chase on a puck on the way out, quick nothing much but a 'graph'.  He did have a huge ring on, I thought for a second, he did not win a Cup but he did mention his junior team won a Championship in the US.
